Baseball Recap: Hortonville Comes Up Short

If Hortonville was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Fond du Lac back in April, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Polar Bears fell 3-0 to the Menomonee Falls Phoenix on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Polar Bears of the 5-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Hortonville got a good showing from Noah Jentz, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Hortonville's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Menomonee Falls, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

While Hortonville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
