Centerville is 8-2 against Springfield since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Elks will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Centerville is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Northmont. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Elks made off with a 40-39 win over the Thunderbolts. The Elks haven't had any issues with the Thunderbolts recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Springfield posted their closest win since January 31st on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-59 victory over Purcell Marian.

Centerville strolled past Springfield in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 63-45. Do the Elks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
