Basketball Recap: Pataula Charter Academy Takes a Loss

Pataula Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the Quitman County Hornets. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Quitman County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaideon Peterson, who posted 23 points. Another player making a difference was Ja'Kevious Norris, who put up 18 points.

Pataula Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Quitman County, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pataula Charter Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Miller County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Quitman County will take on rival Stewart County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
