Volleyball Recap: Escalante Comes Up Short

Escalante was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Piute Thunderbirds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Taylie Carlisle paced Escalante's offense, picking up three kills. Carlisle got some help from Rylee Frei and her two assists.

Escalante's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Piute, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.

Escalante has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Green River on the 17th. As for Piute, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Gunnison Valley on the 17th.
