Softball Recap: Holly Hill Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Andrew Jackson Academy last Friday, Holly Hill Academy came back down to earth. The Raiders came up short against the Calhoun Academy Cavaliers on Tuesday, falling 16-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered since May 1, 2024.

Kaley Bell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Holly Hill Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Calhoun Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

While Holly Hill Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
