Soccer Game Preview: Classical vs. Trinity Academy

The Classical Saints will challenge the Trinity Academy Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Classical comes in on three and Trinity Academy on five.

Trinity Academy better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Classical's game on Tuesday is any indication, that's when Classical really gets things going. The Saints' defense stepped up to hand Circle a 4-0 shutout. Four seems to be a good number for Classical as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Trinity Academy made easy work of Augusta on Tuesday and carried off an 8-0 win. Trinity Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by four goals or more this season.

Classical's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three contests. As for Trinity Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
