Basketball Game Preview: Fairfield Falcons vs. Concord Minutemen

After both having extra time off, the Fairfield Falcons and the Concord Minutemen will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. Fairfield will be strutting in after a win while Concord will be coming in after a loss.

Fairfield will head into Saturday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a 26-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene last Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Jimtown 48-45. The squad ran away with 35 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.

Meanwhile, Concord came up short against Berrien Springs last Saturday and fell 54-42. While the Minutemen didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Shamrocks 14-10 in the first quarter.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Fairfield, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
