Baseball Recap: Langley Comes Up Short

Langley suffered their biggest loss since April 17th on Friday. They lost 14-6 to the Washington-Liberty Generals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Langley and nudges their season record down to 11-9. As for Washington-Liberty, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10.

Looking ahead, Langley will venture away from home to square off against South Lakes at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Washington-Liberty, they will welcome Herndon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Generals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
