Southeast Kansas recap Oct. 9, 2012

Fort Scott extended the longest winning streak in Southeast Kansas this week by beating Labette County, 41-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Tigers.

Pittsburg led the league in scoring this week after putting up 67 points on Field Kindley.

Field Kindley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Golden Tornado feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Nathan Finley has thrown for 457 yards and five touchdowns this season, while James Newton has 14 catches for 435 yards. Wesley Collins leads the league in rushing with 558 yards.

A big matchup in Southeast Kansas this week will be when the Grizzlies take on the Golden Tornado. Labette County is in fifth place, while Field Kindley is in third place.
