            Volleyball Recap: Steamboat Springs Sailors vs. Battle Mountain Huskies        
        
		
        
        
            Steamboat Springs dropped to 12-8 on Tuesday, ending the team's five-match streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Battle Mountain Huskies by a score of  3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-1  back in September.
 Ava Hicks paced Steamboat Springs' offense, picking up 14 kills. Hicks got some help from  Cam Romero and her 30 assists.  Delia Reynolds and  Janie Gonzales kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.
As for Battle Mountain, the  win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory they have posted  since September 11th.
 Battle Mountain was led to victory by  Evie Steinberg and  Riley Jennings.  Steinberg  had 19  digs and two  aces, while  Jennings  had ten  digs and four  aces. Those  four  aces gave  Jennings a new career-high.
 Steamboat Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  win against Delta on the 24th. As for Battle Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  3-1  loss against Douglas County on the 24th.
