Basketball Game Preview: Mathews Blue Devils vs. King William Cavaliers

Mathews and King William are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Mathews Blue Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the King William Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mathews' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.

Last Thursday, Mathews earned a 63-55 win over Charles City.

Meanwhile, King William lost 63-41 to Middlesex on Thursday. The contest marked the Cavaliers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

King William's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Mathews, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Mathews strolled past King William in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 64-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mathews since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
