Baseball Recap: Merritt Comes Up Short

Merritt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Mountain View-Gotebo Tigers, falling 12-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-7 on Friday.

Merritt's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Mountain View-Gotebo, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Merritt didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-16 victory against Hollis on the 31st. As for Mountain View-Gotebo, they have also already played their next game, a 13-0 loss against Sayre on the 29th.
