Volleyball Recap: Faulkton Trojans vs. North Central Thunder

With a playoff game on the line, Faulkton rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the North Central Thunder by a score of 3-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Faulkton walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 22-25, 25-14.

Faulkton was led to victory by Emma Martinmaas and Carley Cotton. Martinmaas had 12 digs, while Cotton had 37 digs, 29 kills, and two aces. Cotton has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 14 times she's played.

Faulkton's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-16. As for North Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season.

Faulkton will challenge Ipswich at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ipswich will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Faulkton surely won't give up without a fight. North Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
