The Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Mathews on the road to the tune of 117-53. Considering Carver College and Career Academy has won six matches by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Carver College and Career Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camron Paul led the charge by dropping a double-double on 29 points and 11 assists. Paul is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Tyson Marsh was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Carver College and Career Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Mathews, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carver College and Career Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and play against King & Queen Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. As for Mathews, they will challenge Rappahannock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Rappahannock is ranked 425th, while Mathews is ranked 423rd).
