Basketball Recap: Winnacunnet Comes Up Short

After flying high against Concord on Tuesday, Winnacunnet came back down to earth. The game between the Warriors and the Exeter Blue Hawks didn't end well, with the Warriors falling 59-44. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Blue Hawks: they've now lost five in a row.

Winnacunnet's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Exeter, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Winnacunnet will square off against Spaulding at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will be up against the Red Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 69 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Exeter, they will head out on the road to face off against Pinkerton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Hawks will need to watch out since the Astros have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
