Basketball Recap: Waterloo Takes a Loss

After flying high against Penn Yan Academy last Tuesday, Waterloo came back down to earth. The Waterloo Tigers fell 65-58 to the Mynderse Academy Blue Devils on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 275th).

Waterloo's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Mynderse Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

Coming up, Waterloo will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wayne at 7:00 p.m. As for Mynderse Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Newark at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
