Basketball Recap: Onaga Comes Up Short

Onaga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were dealt a 55-23 loss at the hands of the Valley Heights Mustangs. The game was a 20-20 toss-up at halftime, but the Buffaloes couldn't quite close it out.

Onaga's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jackson Kolterman, who posted 13 points, and Casen Hutfles, who scored six points and 16 boards. The dominant performance gave Hutfles a new career-high in rebounds.

Onaga's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Valley Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 4-15.

Looking ahead, Onaga will face off against Frankfort at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
