Baseball Recap: Half Moon Bay Takes a Loss

Half Moon Bay lost against Aragon back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Dons by a score of 6-5.

Riley Jackson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Jason Couto was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

Half Moon Bay has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Aragon, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-15.

While Half Moon Bay had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
