Grosse Ile has gone a perfect 5-0 against Melvindale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Red Devils will look to defend their home field against the Cardinals at 1:00 p.m.

Grosse Ile came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-3 to Belleville.

Grosse Ile saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kolton Bodner, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, while Melvindale put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Robichaud. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 15-0 win. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six runs or more this season.

Melvindale pushed their record up to 16-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Grosse Ile, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Grosse Ile was able to grind out a solid victory over Melvindale when the teams last played back in April, winning 5-2. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
