The Layton Lancers will challenge the Fremont Silverwolves at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Layton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Layton took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Farmington, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Layton came out on top in a nail-biter against Farmington on Wednesday, sneaking past 2-1. Layton's winning goal came courtesy of Edwin Tamoua.

Meanwhile, Fremont faced Syracuse in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Fremont fell just short of Syracuse by a score of 1-0. The loss was Fremont's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fremont fell to 6-1. As for Layton, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
