Baseball Game Preview: William Blount Governors vs. Lenoir City Panthers

The William Blount Governors will square off against the Lenoir City Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, William Blount came up short against Farragut and fell 9-4. The Governors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Lenoir City's offense. They fell just short of Loudon by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 26, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Lenoir City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Click, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Lenoir City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-21. As for William Blount, they now have a losing record of 15-16.

William Blount took their win against Lenoir City in their previous matchup on April 10th by a conclusive 9-1 score. Will the Governors repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
