Volleyball Recap: Burleson Comes Up Short

Burleson lost against Wylie back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Elks fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs.

Gemma Sweeney paced Burleson's offense, picking up nine kills. Sweeney got some help from Brooklyn Lynes and her eight assists.

Burleson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Wylie, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Burleson has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Granbury on the 23rd. As for Wylie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Ryan on the 23rd.
