Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Saint Viator walked away with it. They snuck past the Vernon Hills Cougars with a 48-43 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Ava Garcia was nothing short of spectacular: she went 8-for-18 on her way to 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Saint Viator's points. Ellen Denten was another key player, putting up five points and five boards.
