Basketball Game Preview: Kickapoo Chiefs vs. Neosho Wildcats

The Kickapoo Chiefs are taking a road trip to square off against the Neosho Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kickapoo has nine straight wins, Neosho has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Kickapoo is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Monday with ease, bagging a 78-15 victory over Joplin. Given the Chiefs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Eagles are ranked 265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Neosho came up short against Glendale on Monday, falling 57-31.

Kickapoo's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Neosho, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
