Baseball Game Preview: Beachside Barracudas vs. Tocoi Creek Toros

Beachside is 0-3 against Tocoi Creek since February of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Beachside Barracudas will host the Tocoi Creek Toros at 5:00 p.m.

Beachside is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-0 to Tocoi Creek, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Beachside got a good showing from Brady Anderson, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Anderson has allowed since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Beachside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Ochoa, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. Those stolen bases were Ochoa's first of the season.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.6 runs. As for Beachside, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
