Softball Recap: Tabb's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Tabb ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with a 12-9 victory over the Warhill Lions. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 9-1 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Alyssa Gately was incredible, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs and one double. Alayna Davidson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Tabb always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.

The victory snapped Tabb's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-7 record. As for Warhill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Tabb will face off against Lafayette at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.75 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Warhill, they will square off against Gloucester at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Dukes have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
