Basketball Recap: Ringgold Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Murray last Tuesday, Ringgold came back down to earth. The Ringgold Tigers fell just short of the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors by a score of 59-57 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 60-58 defeat back in January.

Ringgold has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14.

Ringgold does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Murray County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Murray County will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe surely won't give up without a fight.
