Baseball Recap: Santa Clara Takes a Loss

Santa Clara was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 14-2 to the Dunn Earwigs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Saints of the 22-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Santa Clara saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI was Garcia's first of the season.

Santa Clara's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Dunn, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

While Santa Clara had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
