Football Recap: Jim Hill's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Jim Hill's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They managed a 12-6 win over the Forest Hill Patriots. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Jakoby Thompson was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 63 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024.

Another reason for the win was Jim Hill's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Darrell Tucker was especially locked on to Forest Hill's QB and sacked him twice. Tucker has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last seven times he's played.

Jim Hill's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for Forest Hill, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Jim Hill wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 50-0 defeat against West Jones on the 6th. As for Forest Hill, they have also already played their next game, a 32-25 victory against George County on the 7th.
