Soccer Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty entered their match against East Chambers on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the East Chambers Buccaneers who were credited with the win. The East Chambers Buccaneers got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to the Liberty Panthers' six. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 428th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 145th).

Liberty suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 7-4-1. As for East Chambers, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 9-2-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Hargrave the next time they take the pitch. East Chambers will host Hargrave at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Liberty will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
