Softball Recap: Trinity Presbyterian Drops Highest Score of Season Against Montgomery Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity Presbyterian). They put the hurt on the Montgomery Academy Eagles with a sharp 17-2 win on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Micaiah Shelton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Marley Sharpless, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Trinity Presbyterian's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Montgomery Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Trinity Presbyterian will challenge Pike Liberal Arts at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Montgomery Academy, they will square off against Pike Road at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
