Basketball Recap: Minnewaska Area Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Minnewaska Area hadn't done well against Melrose recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Minnewaska Area Lakers took down the Melrose Dutchmen 61-45. While the Lakers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-26), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Minnewaska Area's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Melrose, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
