Basketball Recap: Pantego Christian Comes Up Short

Pantego Christian was the 58-49 winner over Prince of Peace when they last played one another on January 7th, but their luck changed this time around. The Pantego Christian Panthers took a hard 55-41 fall against the Prince of Peace Eagles on Friday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Pantego Christian still got an impressive performance from Aj Brooks, who posted 17 points and three steals. Brooks has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 18 times he's played. Evan Jackson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Pantego Christian's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Prince of Peace, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-14.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Covenant the next time they take the court. Prince of Peace will head out to face Covenant at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pantego Christian will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
