Basketball Recap: Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Takes a Loss

Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Monmouth-Roseville Titans. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 368th, while the Titans are ranked 143rd).

Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]'s defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Monmouth-Roseville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
