Basketball Recap: Aquinas Knights vs. Central Christian Comets
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Canton South, the Aquinas Knights were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They blew past Central Christian 50-28. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Aquinas also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2018.
Aquinas found their leader in underclassman K'Lynn Carter, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. Carter has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Paris Everett, who scored 11 points along with four steals and two blocks.
Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Central Christian, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aquinas will take on the Rovers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Rootstown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Wednesday. As for Central Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the at 6:00 p.m.
