Basketball Recap: Frazier Piles Up the Points Against Mapletown

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Frazier). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Mapletown Maples 59-28. The Commodores have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Maples, too.

Frazier's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dailan McManus, who went 8 for 18 on his way to 18 points in addition to five assists and three steals. McManus' morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolby Stewart, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Frazier's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Mapletown, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Frazier will venture away from home to square off against Greensburg Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greensburg Central Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Frazier surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mapletown, they will take on Bethlehem Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bethlehem Center is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.
