Basketball Game Preview: Model Patriots vs. Barbourville Tigers

The Model Patriots will challenge the Barbourville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Barbourville is facing Model at the wrong time: Model suffered their first home loss of the season on Friday and they're likely out for redemption. They lost to the Eagles at home by a 79-62 margin. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Eagles are ranked 99th).

Meanwhile, Barbourville entered their game against Pineville on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Barbourville took a hard 78-61 fall against Pineville.

Model's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9. As for Barbourville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1.
