Basketball Recap: Yarbrough Falls to Walsh in First Game of Season

Yarbrough had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. The contest between them and the Walsh Eagles didn't end well, with the Yarbrough Lobos falling 51-33.

Kayla Penick was a one-woman wrecking crew for Walsh as she went 13 of 22 on her way to 28 points. What's more, Penick also racked up four rebounds, the most she's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Ava Alley, who posted ten points in addition to seven assists and six boards.

Walsh now has a winning record of 2-1.

Yarbrough does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walsh, they will be taking part in a tournament against Granada at 1:30 p.m. on December 19th.
