Taunton hadn't beaten Durfee on the road since May 24, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hilltoppers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.
Taunton's got stronger as the match went on, holding Durfee to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 25-12.
Travis Johnson paced Taunton's offense, picking up 14 kills. Johnson got some help from Daniel Freitas and his 35 assists. Donichard Providence controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
