Basketball Game Preview: Leipsic Vikings vs. Columbus Grove Bulldogs

The Leipsic Vikings and the Columbus Grove Bulldogs will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Leipsic will be strutting in after a victory while Columbus Grove will be coming in after a defeat.

Leipsic took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pandora-Gilboa, sneaking past 61-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since February 9th.

Meanwhile, Columbus Grove might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Crestview an easy 63-41 victory. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Leipsic's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Columbus Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Leipsic skirted past Columbus Grove 61-59 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Leipsic have another victory up their sleeve, or will Columbus Grove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
