Basketball Recap: Lexington Minutemen vs. Alliance Bulldogs

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 61-47 bruising from the Alliance Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Minutemen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 108th).

Seth Meyring was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds for Alliance. Meyring has become a key player for Alliance: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least eight boards, but 7-8 otherwise. Espen Lanik was another key player, putting up 12 points along with five assists and four steals.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Alliance, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.
