Softball Game Preview: Chavez Eagles vs. Eagle Rock Eagles

Chavez will head out to square off against Eagle Rock at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Friday, Chavez came up short against Chatsworth and fell 5-1.

Chatsworth hit Eagle Rock with a five-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Chancellors, falling 8-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Marcella Terrazas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks.

This is the second loss in a row for Eagle Rock and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Chavez, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Chavez couldn't quite get it done against Eagle Rock in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 3-0. Can Chavez avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
