Basketball Recap: Lake Quinault Comes Up Short

Lake Quinault was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Willapa Valley Vikings and fell 77-14. The Elks lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in December of 2014, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 77-37 score last time.

Willapa Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max Jarvis, who posted eight points and ten rebounds. Blane King was another key player, as he made all 5 shots he took to post 11 points.

Lake Quinault's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Willapa Valley, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Quinault will square off against Wishkah Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Willapa Valley, they will take on Ocosta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
