Baseball Game Preview: Tyler Knights vs. Beallsville Blue Devils

Tyler is a perfect 5-0 against Beallsville since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Knights will host the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. Beallsville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Tyler, who comes in off a win.

Tyler's tournament run continued when they took on Great Falls on Thursday. The Knights came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 6-2.

Reese Davis made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Tyler: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one hit, but 4-10 otherwise. Davis was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Colby Nichols was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since April 1st.

Meanwhile, Beallsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Clay-Battelle, falling 12-1.

Tyler's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Beallsville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tyler has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Beallsville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Tyler took their win against Beallsville in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
