Basketball Recap: Bethel Park Falls Despite Big Games from Sadie Orie and Ella Sabatos

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bethel Park can now relate to. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Baldwin Highlanders. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Highlanders this season, with their most recent loss being a 52-40 defeat on February 4th.

Ella Sabatos and Sadie Orie certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Sabatos almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards, while Orie went 6-for-11 en route to 16 points.

Bethel Park now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Baldwin, they pushed their record up to 14-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethel Park will head out to face off against Indiana at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethel Park is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season. As for Baldwin, they will head out on the road to square off against Penn-Trafford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Penn-Trafford also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 58.1 points per game.
