Volleyball Recap: Liberty Ranch Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Liberty Ranch was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Rosemont on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks fell just short of the Bradshaw Christian Pride by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pride 25-15 in the first set.

Liberty Ranch wouldn't go down easily and took Bradshaw Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-17, 25-18, 22-25, 15-10.

Haley Smith paced Liberty Ranch's offense, picking up 23 kills. Smith got some help from Maritza Arevalo and her 17 assists. Gabriela Garcia controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Liberty Ranch's defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-15. As for Bradshaw Christian, their victory ended a nine-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 11-20.
