Baseball Game Preview: Garfield Bulldogs vs. Whittier Christian Heralds

The Garfield Bulldogs will square off against the Whittier Christian Heralds at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Garfield will be strutting in after a win while Whittier Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Whittier Christian will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Garfield extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out Legacy 4-2.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 24 runs the game before, Whittier Christian was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Valley Christian.

Zion Park made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Whittier Christian's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Garfield, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Garfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Whittier Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
