The Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion waltzed into their game Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 57-50 victory over Friendship Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Kyren Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 31 points along with five rebounds. The match was his 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zachary Powery, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Friendship Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill will take on Neuse Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Friendship Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Thomas More Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
