Football Recap: Corinth Holders Takes a Loss

Corinth Holders extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-6. They took a 25-6 bruising from the Millbrook Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 11th).

David Jarman threw for 144 yards and one TD. Carter Lawson was his top target, picking up 55 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Blake Beckwith rushed for 38 yards.

As for Millbrook, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The 25-point effort marked their lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Leading Millbrook to victory were Brilison McCullers and Malachi Gilchrist. McCullers rushed for 65 yards and one score, while Gilchrist picked up 84 receiving yards and one TD. Bryson Gray was another key player, having thrown for 258 yards and onetouchdown.

As of now, neither Corinth Holders nor Millbrook have any future games scheduled.
