Basketball Recap: Bryton Swallows' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Clarkrange over Gordonsville

If Clarkrange was feeling good fresh off their 46-26 takedown of Rockwood last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Clarkrange Buffaloes fell 61-48 to the Gordonsville Tigers on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Clarkrange lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bryton Swallows, who went 7 of 13 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tristan Taylor, who made all 5 shots he took to post 12 points.

Clarkrange's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Gordonsville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5-1.

Clarkrange will venture away from home to face off against Smith County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gordonsville, they will host Red Boiling Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
